The Prague district of Nusle.
Following the footsteps of accessible housing.
The housing crisis and lack of affordable rental housing have a negative impact on the quality of life in Prague and other cities. When the market and political representation both fail, other solutions need to be considered. In a walk around the Jezerka park, historian Bolek Šmejkal will outline the history of housing in interwar Prague, particularly the history of cooperative housing, which significantly helped in solving the housing crisis of that time in Nusle and other Prague districts.
After the walk, you can join us for a gathering at the restaurant U Klokočníka.
