We invite you to a DIY workshop “Don’t Melt at Home This Summer,” where we’ll demonstrate practical ways to stay cool during heat waves even without air conditioning! The event will take place on July 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Papírenská 10. 

How to recognize the warning signs of overheating, when to check the forecast, how to cool down your apartment with simple measures, how to take care of yourself and your closed ones, and where to turn when it’s unbearable at home?

We’ll focus mainly on options for people living in rental housing, who often can’t make their own decisions about technical modifications to their apartment, and together we’ll discuss what can be done right away, what to address with your landlord, and how to help each other during heat waves.

The workshop will be led by Anna Uhnák Kárník, an external expert with Zelený kruh and the Climate Coalition on climate protection and adaptation. After the workshop, there will be a party by the fire with some snacks and summer hits.
