INN Brno: Promítání filmu What’s Going to Happen Here?

Zveme Vás na první veřejné setkání INN Brno v tomto roce – tentokrát formou promítání dokumentárního filmu o bojích za právo na město v Lisabonu v Galerii TIC – Kino CIT! 

We invite you to the first public meeting of the Tenants‘ Initiative this year – in the form of a screening of a documentary film about the struggle for the right to the city in Lisbon!  (English below)

Dokumentární film What’s going to happen here? (O que vai acontecer aqui?) pojednává o sociálním hnutí bojujícím za právo žít ve městě Lisabon v době, kdy se zintenzivnily boje o městský prostor v důsledku expanze finančního kapitalismu, který soustřeďuje bohatství do rukou několika málo lidí a zvyšuje sociální nerovnosti. Dokument je o těch, kteří se vzpírají přeměně města na zboží a nespravedlnosti tím, že budují mocenské struktury s těmi, kteří potřebují místo k životu. Film kolektivu Left Hand Rotation vznikl ve spolupráci se Stop Despejos a Habita!

 𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗸𝘁𝗶𝘃 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Left Hand Rotation je umělecký kolektiv působící od roku 2005, který se zabývá projekty spojujícími intervenci, apropriaci, natáčení a manipulaci s videem. Všechny akce seskupení si uvědomují význam audiovizuálního záznamu, a to jak pro jeho hodnotu jako syrového zachycení, tak pro potenciál každého videoklipu stát se jazykovou jednotkou, jejíž kombinace umožňuje přenos složitých sdělení založených na každodenních detailech. Kamera nemůže jinak než zaznamenávat konkrétní kontext, ve kterém je umístěna. Právě prostřednictvím těchto záznamů lokálního kontextu kolektiv reflektuje komplexní globální systém.

 Film bude promítán v originálním jazyce s anglickými titulky.
 Kino je v prvním poschodí v Galerii TIC bez možnosti bezbariérového přístupu.

A documentary movie What’s going to happen here? (O que vai acontecer aqui?) about the social movement advocating the right to live in the city of Lisbon, at a time when the various fights for the urban space have increased – the result of the expansion of finance capitalism that concentrates wealth in the hands of a few people, and increases social inequalities. A documentary about those who challenge the transformation of the city into a merchandise, those who disobey in front of injustice by building power structures for and with the ones who need a place to live. A documentary by Left Hand Rotation in collaboration with Stop Despejos and Habita!

 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲
Left Hand Rotation is an artistic collective active since 2005 that develops projects that articulate intervention, appropriationism, recording and video manipulation. Each action of the collective has a strong awareness of the importance of the audiovisual record, both for its value as a raw capture, and for the potential of each video clip to become language units whose combination and manipulation enables the transmission of complex messages based on daily details. The camera can not but record the specific context in which it is placed. It is through these captures of the local that the collective reflects on a complex global system.

 The film will be screened in its original language with English subtitles.
 The cinema is located on the first floor of the TIC Gallery and does not have wheelchair access.
